I am happy that I have a good Indonesian maid. She's been with us almost 3 years already. She is more than a mother to me. Early wake up swipes, mobs the floor, washes toilets. Wash, iron my family's cloths. She cooks our meals and prepares baby food. She feed my baby Jove and milk too. She is always busy with household jobs. I don't see her stop working from 6.30am and putting my baby to sleep to 12am. When baby cries, my maid carries him around, play toys with him too.

My maid prepares my groceries list most of the time for me to go to Sunday market to buy weekly food for my whole family. Cannot believe I purchase around RM300 food and household products everyweek.

Sigh, her permit almost expires. Hope she will renew her permit and I willing to pay more for her to stay to work for us for few more years.

Rights and Warrants: Are they right for you?

What are rights and warrants?
Sometimes, when a company wants to raise more money, it will issue rights. These allow the shareholder to buy more shares directly from the company, usually at a price somewhat lower than the current market price of the outstanding shares.

This is a way for a firm to raise more funds in a way that favours existing shareholders. A warrant is often attached to new debt or preferred issues to make these issues more attractive to buyers, thereby functioning as a “sweetener”. The company uses the warrants to raise more money down the road.

The major difference between rights and warrants is their lifespan. Rights usually expire after a few weeks, while warrants can continue from one to several years. Both can trade on the market separately from the company’s stock.

The customary method of making a rights offering is to issue one right for each common share outstanding. You can then combine the rights into the multiples required for one or more sharesand subscribe. No commission is levied when you exercise the rights and acquire new shares. Normally, fractional shares are not issued. Warrants are similar except that quite often it only takes one warrant to purchase on share, not several warrants, as is the case with rights.

A ready market usually develops, permitting rights and warrants to be sold or more to be bought. The possibility that the market price of the stock will fall below the subscription price is of major importance in setting the terms of an issue. If this happened, investors wouldn’t exercise their rights or warrants and the issue would fail.

Intrinsic value and time value of rights and warrants
The value of a right or a warrant closely resembles the difference between its subscription price and the market price of the underlying stock. Intrinsic value is the amount by which the market price of the underlying common stock exceeds the subscription price (also known as the exercise price).

A right or warrant has no intrinsic value if the exercise price is above the current market value of the shares; however, it will still usually have a market value known as time value because of perceived speculative potential up to the expiry date. Once rights and warrants expire, they are worthless and may not be exercised.

Intrinsic Value = Stock Price – Subscription Price
Time Value = Right Price – Intrinsic Value
Right Price = Intrinsic Value + Time Value

Leverage – the main attraction of warrants
The main speculative attraction of warrants is their leverage potential. The price of a warrant is usually much less than the price of the underlying security and generally moves together with it. The capital appreciation of a warrant on a percentage basis can, therefore, greatly exceed that of the underlying security.

Breast feeding mother, watch your food. Traces of gas-producing foods, such as cruciferous vegetables (cabbages, brocoli, cauliflower, bak choy, radish, watercres, etc) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cruciferous_vegetables) and Lugume can be passed from mother to baby.

Air bubbles can also be taken in through baby’s mouth. Most commonly, it is a result of the suction created during nursing. For this reason, it is important to burp every 3 to 5 minutes during feedings or between breasts. If your baby is bottle-fed, make certain that the bottle’s nipple is the right size. If the nipple is too big, it will cause your baby to eat too fast. If it’s too small, it will cause your baby to gulp air.

Another possible reason for infant gassiness is hyper-lactation syndrome. When a mother has a very abundant milk supply, she may produce a larger amount of foremilk. Foremilk is higher in water content, higher in lactose and usually delivered with greater force during letdown. In excess, foremilk can make baby’s stomach cramp, creating more fussiness. A baby that gulps the quickly flowing milk also tends to take in more air, thereby getting gassier. Because the baby may not be getting enough of the rich hind milk, he or she tends to want to eat more often, which perpetuates the problem. The baby that suffers from hyper-lactation syndrome is characterized by higher that normal weight gain, increased gassiness, and fussiness.

Over stimulation can also lead to increased gassiness. Just as many adults experience intestinal disturbances in stressful situations, so are babies affected by their environments. Sensitive infants that are bombarded with noise, lights, touch and multiple experiences will usually “shut down” in an attempt to reduce stimulation. This shut down response does not completely insulate baby from the effects of the stimulation. Babies that are easily overloaded often experience more severe gas, fussiness, and difficulty sleeping later in the day or night. In general, the more activity (errands, visitors, T.V., phones, etc.) in baby’s day, the higher the chances of gassiness and fussiness in baby’s evening and night.

A certain amount of crying is normal in all infants, since it is their only means of verbal communication. Babies’ crying may indicate that they are hungry, lonely, warm, cold, uncomfortable or in need of a diaper change. Many babies go through periods of crying for no apparent reason, as they simply get used to the new world. Crying in general causes babies to gulp air into their digestive systems. These air bubbles can get trapped in their stomach and/or passed on to the intestine. Gas pain can also be a direct result of air swallowed during crying.

Why does infant gas cause pains and discomfort?
Normally, gas is not a problem and causes no pain or discomfort because it is quickly and easily pushed through the digestive system. However, babies are born with a very immature gut. Most experts agree that for the first thirteen weeks of life outside the womb, the newborn digestive system is literally just learning to function. Muscles that support digestion have not developed the proper rhythm for moving food efficiently thought the digestive tract. Furthermore, newborns lack the benevolent bacterial flora (probiotics) that develop over time to aid digestion.
Gas has buoyancy and gas pockets can become trapped in the upper and lower intestines. The gas acts like a cork, impeding or halting the flow of gastric juices and built-up pressure causes painful bloating and swelling of the abdomen. Baby’s immature digestive system is unable to cope effectively. When gas pockets form in the stomach, this can cause the stomach to distend but is also the main cause of hiccups.

Introduction
As a good trader, one has to constantly monitor various economic indicators to identify trends of economic growth. Most watched economic indicators are Consumer Price Index (CPI), houing starts, gross domestic product and the employment report. The non-farm payroll report is part of the employment report.

What impact does a higher non-farm payroll have on the market?
Every first friday of every month, a report being researched and recorded by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistic will be presented. This report present the number of paid U.S. workers of any business (excluding government employees, non-profit organizations, farm employees, private household employees) on the average work week and the average weekly earnings.

The total non-farm payroll accounts for approximately 80% of the workers who produce the entire gross domestic product of the United States and is used to assist government policy makers and economists determine the current state of the economy and predict future levels of economic activity.

If the non-farm payroll is expanding, this is a good indication that the economy is growing. However, if increases in non-farm payroll occur at a fast rate, this may lead to an increase in inflation.

In forex, the level of actual non-farm payroll compared to payroll estimates is taken very seriously. If the actual data comes in lower than economists' estimates, forex traders will usually sell U.S. dollars in anticipation of a weakening currency. The opposite is true when the data is higher than economists' expectations.

In stock or stock options trading, beware of such date and do analytical data for your own awareness.

Intraday - How to overcome "Fear of Trading" in Options

All of us have a "Fear of Trading", as we fear losing money in our trades. This is healthy and normal. What is unhealthy and stupid is to fail to protect your capital and enter a daytrade as though you are an investor, thinking "it's a great stock for the long term."

The minute you confuse daytrading with investing is the minute you start losing capital to those of us who are daytraders. In fact, we count on it. (This was my most difficult lesson to learn as a new daytrader).

Enter stop loss within 30 minutes after entering a trade and allow myself to be stop out within 1-2 points per lot(100 shares).

If you are trading scared, you'll probably lose more. If you have several winning trades in a row, don't get cocky and rationalize that you're "playing with house money". You earned the money, continue trading with the same intensity.

One last thing, don't drink too much coffee. Your heart pumps fast during entering the trade and only slows down when you manage to sell off. We earn money to enjoy life and not to destroy our heart.

Stock Fundamental Analysis

When it comes to most basic stock fundamental analysis, you need to know at least three things:
1) Dividend Yield
2) PE Ratio
3) EPS (Earnings Per Share)

Let's start:
1) Dividend Yield is the percentage of return company pays out to its shareholders in the form of dividends. Take dividend pay per share over a year and divide by the stock's price.

Dividend Yield = (Annual dividends per share / Current share price) x 100%

Eg. Genting highland share was $3.00 and dividend was $0.30, its dividend yield is:

$0.30/$3.00 x 100% = 10%

A good dividend yield is one company that produces higher return than the market average of the interest you would earn on bank fixed deposits. For instance, the market average dividends are around 4% to 4.5%.

2)PE Ratio
The potential for a company's share to rise and fall often depends on how quickly its earnings are expected to increase. The PE ratio provides investors with an insight into the financial prospects of the company (over last 12 months).

PE Ratio = Market Value of Share / Earnings Per Share

For example, if a company share value is now $50 and the earnings over last 12 months were $2.00 per share, then the PE ratio is $50/$2.00 = 25. This also means that investors are willing to pay $25 for earning of $1.

3)EPS (Earnings Per Share)
EPS which indicates the overall profitability of a company listed on the stock exchange. when examining the earnings of a company you need to look over the last three to five years of earnings to identify whether the forecasted growth is in line or above the average growth for that period.

If the EPS is consistently increasing, this suggests that the company isbeing well managed but you should also look at the projected EPS. This is so thatyou can see whether the growth and therefore the growth of the share price, isexpected to continue into the future.

EPS = Net income earned / company's total shares outstanding.

For example, Genting reported net income available to shareholders of $10 million and also the company has a total of 20 million shares outstanding. The company's EPS = $10 million/$20 million = 0.50.

Nov 14, 2007. Wednesday night. Went to Elcerdo with harry, nic, serene. This is my first time to this restaurant. Roasted suckling piglet is served with baby potatoes and fresh garden salad. Plus a bottle of merlot fine red wine. If you want to check this place out, do make a reservation first as the restaurant was packed. Get prepared to spend around RM500 for a table of four if you really want to enjoy a delicious, "oink oink" crunchy meat eating meal there.

Would you pay around RM11,000 for a 4-days training? Does it sound too expensive? There are around 120 people from all the whole Malaysia, some even from Australia joining the training, which total up to: 120X11,000 = RM1,320,000. Went to watch movie Unholy Montrimony last night (Thursday 9pm, March 15, 2007). This movie tells us to marry the one we really love. But in reality, not everyone can achieve that. If can't marry the one you really love; then, also don't have to act like Leon's (Shen Junchu) charactor in the movie (ingnorance and ferocious to his wife) Fan BingBinb (Manli) is really beautiful in the movie but I prefer her with the long hair. Feel sad for Rene Liu (Sansan)... she was killed in the movie :(

Today Sunday March 11, 2007 is the day I spent most activities with Raymond. We reached CF Bangsar at 3pm. Went to Jeff's capoeira class. Ater that, we go the mamak makan makan with Jeff and friends. Then we went Bangsar Village 2 and walked the entire shopping center. Then we went window shopping for nike cloths. Back to the gym for weight lifting, we took pictures, we went steam room for 10mins, we went shower, we sit ther chatting with raymond's friend shannon the leng lui, then went back to nike shop. I bought 1, raymond bought 1 top wear too. Then we went to pay our car ticket...imagine how much??? RM9.00 OMG... I think that is my last time going to Bangsar Village 2 liao.... sigh...

Went to watch Norbit with Evelyn at curve cineplex last night. The movie's story is very simple. At first, he didn't married to his lover; instead, he married his companion that always helped him out. But they aren't compatible for each other. His wife is fat and always scolds him.... At last, he left his wife and married to the one he loves.

Evelyn scolded me and asked me why I fell asleep during the show. She said if I am watching with others, I won't be that sleepy. I replied that I am very tired. Imagine I have to work 10 hours a day and still need to act happy happy and alert? Yes, I can act infront of my friends but I act natural infront of Evelyn. My tiredness came out... And I feel sorry that she scolded me... Sigh...

To live with someone u love or love someone u live with? Not everyone can choose to live with someone they really love. Sometime is not a choice you can do and you don't have the time to choose or the timing is not right. If u have choice, go live with someone u love. (But for ladies, usually they'll say "he treats me well, he loves me, he do everything for me, so I love him too...this kind of relationship works but might not last (might, not always)...hehehe.. why? hard to explain... maybe next time..." I've seen married ladies with children divorce her husband for her true love! gosh!

Don't forget, you have to love with money also...
1) Got money, no love is bad.
2) Got love no money is even worse.
Not everyone is lucky to get both. Mostly, ladies with prefer money rather than love. What to do, we have to survive happily with money in this world. Unless you stay in kampung with your own plantations and no clubbing, movies, fancy cars, makeup, nice dress, etc, etc. Everyday eat bread and with your true lover.
Money is not everything, but everything is money. Agree? pls give comments :)

Do you believe in finding your true love? I do. Sometime it takes time, u don't when u'll find him/her. So don't waste your time, don't wait to find it. Life is short, do whatever u wanna do. Time will come one day and it won't be too late cos marraiges don't wait and real love will stay on forever once u get it. (Some ppl set age limit. Especially for girls: "like by 30 I have to get married, no matter what, because I m getting old, but at least that guy treats me well and can at least afford to have a comfortable family and certain things." hehehe... Just got my new camrey silver colour... The car is great but hard to maintain.. the leather seat, floor, door all beige colour.. how to clean everyweek??? They collect dust easily.. oh my god..
